Sugaring Hair Removal Preparation
Before
Regular hydrating and exfoliating of your skin between Sugaring hair removal treatments is just as important as receiving treatment. Please gently exfoliate your skin 2 days prior to your appointment.
We recommend that you do not schedule your appointments to coincide with your menstrual cycle, as you may be more sensitive. Do not use a razor or depilatory creams (for example, Nair) between appointments as this will interfere with your goal to refine and diminish your hair growth to have smooth healthy skin.
After
Regular hydrating and exfoliating of your skin between sugaring hair removal treatments is just as important as receiving treatment. Exfoliating daily is highly recommended but please wait 2 days after your treatment to begin. Regular Sugaring hair removal treatments will actually enhance and brighten your skin. Your skin may sunburn more easily immediately following a Sugaring treatment due to dead skin cell exfoliation. We recommend that you wait 24 hours before exposing your skin to the sun, infrared lamps, or solarium. You should not receive a sugaring treatment on an area where your skin is still sunburned.
Do not use perfumed soap or products with chemical irritants on treated areas within 24 hours of your treatment. Do not apply deodorant to underarms for 12 hours after a sugaring treatment.
Ask us about our Aloe and Arnica Skin Soothing Gel. We have this made for you to use in between treatments. Helps keep your skin hydrated which helps reduce ingrowns, and removing the hairs easier.
